Ceramic coating and paint preparation

Ceramic coating adds a protective surface treatment to prepared paint. It is different from removing scratches, repairing chips or applying paint-protection film. The condition of the paint before coating determines whether cleaning alone is enough or whether polishing and correction are also required.

Decontamination, polishing and coating

A coating package can involve washing, removal of bonded contamination, polishing and the coating application itself. These stages are not interchangeable. A paint-correction package uses extra work to improve existing defects; a coating-only product should not be assumed to include that correction.

Body paint, glass and wheel treatments

Different surfaces can use different treatments. A body-coating price may exclude glass, wheels, trim or interior materials. The number of layers alone does not describe the whole package: preparation, product, coverage and aftercare also matter.

Curing, washing and durability terms

Curing requirements affect handover and the first wash. Follow the product-specific care instructions. Durability claims need the accompanying maintenance and warranty conditions; coating is not a promise that paint cannot be scratched or chipped.
